The hotly anticipated work by award-winning dancer and choreographer Akram Khan MBE comes to Poole with an international cast of dancers from diverse cultures, traditions and dance backgrounds.

Featuring a score by Nitin Sawhney, bahok is named after a Bengali word meaning ‘carrier’ and explores the ways in which the body carries national identity and a sense of belonging.

Combining Chinese, Korean, Indian, South-African, Slovakian and Spanish influences, this rich mix of spoken and dance language pushes the boundaries of movement vocabulary with exhilarating results.
